Hello! The name's Stephanie, but everyone calls me Steph. 20 years old. Natural Resources Conservation major. I love: animals, Harry Potter, Maroon 5, books, Italy, chocolate, and all of the incredible people in my life.

In general, people are not drawn to perfection in others. People are drawn to shared interests, shared problems, and an individual’s life energy. Humans connect with humans. Hiding one’s humanity and trying to project an image of perfection makes a person vague, slippery, lifeless, and uninteresting.

Ode to a Beautiful Year

My junior year of college is officially complete. This was by far the best year yet. It had it’s moments, but junior year will be one for the record books. The beginning of this year found me at my worst moments, and yet with a little help I was able to grow beyond that and learn a valuable lesson in the process, “life is never as impossible as it seems”. I finally figured out what exactly it was that I wanted to do with my laugh, which led to a new major, and a new view of the world. I came into my own as a leader and not only was I force to be reckoned with, but I was able to obtain the title I had been working for for the last three years “Associate Director”. This year taught me who I am, and who I want to be. I am sad to see this wonderful year end, but I’m so ready to see everything senior year has in store.

Peace out junior year, it’s been real
